Thank you for a great escape! I've been reading romance novels since I was a teenager and the women were all so fragile. It's nice to have stories where the women have a backbone! I love the Harlequin Intrigue books because you get all of the romance along with alot of action!

Hello Sylvie - I just wanted to let you know that I have added your name to my list of authors. I want to share something with you. When I was 16 and babysitting one evening, the 2 boys had fallen asleep and I was in the mood to read. I browsed the bookshelves and came across a book called "The Other Side of Midnight" by Sidney Sheldon. I read until the adults came home and I had permission to take the book home to finish reading it. I was hooked on "racy" novels. I had picked up a few Harlequin Romances during that time (late 70's)but they really bored me to tears! Same exact plot, just different character names and locations - ho hum! (The characters always made it to the bedroom but then the door closed and a new chapter began). All the "good" parts were left out! I went back to reading everything Sidney Sheldon wrote, discovered Jackie Collins - read every book as she wrote them, read all of Danielle Steel and still do, discovered Carly Phillips and low and behold the bedroom doors are opening in Harlequin Romances! Wow - 'bout time! I'm looking forward to reading your novel "Under Lock & Key"!

Even though you could not go into depth on the effects of brain injury on 'survivors' of brain injuries and their families you did a very good job of informing the public of the devastation it causes. I wish all the 'survivors'& their families had a happy ending. Great Job!!

Your book struck a real chord with me.My husband was already 50 when I met him.I was 26.I'm now twice that age and still head over heels in love - but it was hard work to start with. Like Logan, Tommy was badly damaged by life.I likened him to a leather bag with a broken electric light bulb inside.Ouch! I, too, enjoyed the panel discussion NHRWA hosted. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and I had a great time hearing about how you got started writing. It was so nice of you to share those stories with us. The cover of REMEMBERING RED THUNDER looks terrific! I look forward to buying my copy at the Toadstool Bookstore signing and chatting with you again.

Hi I was blown away by your book A little Christmas Magic. Having lost my brother 11 years ago, I know how the characters both feel. I am still grieving the lost of a dear soul, he was, excuse me is an angel. I to am riddle with guilt because i witnessed his death and felt that i should have done something. I haven't allowed myself to grieve like the character Logan Ward but when i do, watch out.
I am a first time reader of your books but if A Little Christmas Magic is anything to go by, I am a fan for life.
Thanks for writing this book, i am about to read it for the second time.
Kudos To You!!!!!

I read my first Sylvie Kurtz book last week. I had seen BLACKMAILED BRIDE on the website and was intrigued with it so went looking for a place to buy it.
Being severely claustrophobic, I was put off a little at first by the dark, gloomy passageways in the monastery. However, the book was already making me think of Jane Eyre, so I persevered in my reading and was absolutely delighted with it! You can bet I will start looking for more of Sylvie's books. She has made a new fan! :)

Just finished "Alyssa Again". Fabulous!!! You have done a wonderful job of intertwining romance with suspense. I wanted this one to go on longer. As in Blackmailed Bride you left the reader in suspense until the end. I was sure you gave away the ending with some 50 pages to go and yet you did not. From page 1 you take the reader on a great journey with Jack and Brooke and the reader may think they have the ending all figured out when you throw your twist to the storyline spinning the reader totally around. This is a 5 star book for sure. I love your new cover on Remembering Red Thunder and am anxious to have it released. Seeing that you are writing a sequel with Red Thunder Reckoning makes me hope that you are heading toward a longer novel for the reader to enjoy. Thank you for Alyssa Again.

I had to hunt down your webpage, "A Little Christmas Magic" was just what I needed today. It was the first book I read of 2002! What an amazing heart felt story. My eyes are still red and sore...excellent work, and I love the Knock Knock jokes, where on earth do you come up with them! LOL...I just joined your mailing list, and hope to read more of your books, thanks for being a new author for me in 2002.

Hi Sylvie,
I just finished reading Blackmailed Bride. This is the first of your books I have read. This book was exciting, romantic, dramatic and clearly left the reader in suspense. The ending was a surprise to me. I could not put this book down. Taking place in New Hampshire was an added plus for me. Tonight I start A Little Christmas Magic. I have already shared the Blackmailed Bride with a friend here at work. For me personally, this past year has not been the best and I have been looking for something to occupy my wandering mind. Your book did the trick!! You really should consider writing a suspense novel. As one person here at work said to me, while thumbing through your book, "I can't even keep a conversation on track, how can this person write all this. I envy her talent." This is true. You take the reader into a world where there is no stress. Thank you! Keep writing!

My Christmas wish would be that SSE could send copies of A LITTLE CHRISTMAS MAGIC to those who suffered the loss of loved ones on September 11, whether or not they usually read romance. Given recent events, its timeliness is undeniable. The way your story delves into grief and varying methods of coping with it makes it a beautiful rainbow of a book. After touching me deeply, it left me in tears but bursting with hope. That, indeed, is a lovely gift for any season.
A LITTLE CHRISTMAS MAGIC well deserves the wonderful Romantic Times review and December Pick, as well as its place on the Waldenbooks list.
Thank you for the sensitivity you poured into your latest book. Can't Wait to read the next ones in March and April!

Dear Ms. Kurtz:
I just finished reading "A Little Christmas Magic" and I have to tell you that it is one of the best books I have ever read. I cried at the end. I lost my father when I was young and my brother one month after my marriage in a tragic death. What you said in this book about dying being the easy part and going on and living a good life was the hardest is the truth. But what touched me most was your message about living to honor the memory of a loved one and that doing any less would mean that his life had no meaning. Such true statements and really hit home with me. I also like the part where you mentioned seeing their memory in other's smiles. What wonderful sentiments. Thank you for the wonderful words that I try to live by every day. Happy Holidays.
